SKÅGFÄ story didn’t begin in a sophisticated design studio or a glossy boardroom. It started around the family kitchen table, full of life, children, and a bit of chaos.
It was born out of everyday challenges:
a blanket sewn for the baby, a bib that reflected our style, or an apron made with natural colors and fibers. We designed out of love and excitement, not ambition.
From those first creative gestures, one solution led to another. What began as functional objects adapted to our needs and style turned into purposeful products, created for families living with all the beautiful imperfection, joy, and intention that everyday life brings. We grew believing in harmony: the simplicity of Nordic design combined with the warmth and heart of the Mediterranean.

A decisive moment came when small hands wanted to help prepare food in the kitchen. We asked ourselves: why not give them a tool they could actually use, one that would foster confidence and participation? That’s how Träkniv was born — a wooden knife for truly small hands, carefully shaped.
Träkniv was our foundation, the first step that inspired us to keep dreaming. It kept us thinking about how to improve it: playing with colors, making it dishwasher safe, using more sustainable materials, and preserving the essence of its original design. From that search came Klyv, the natural evolution of that first knife: a joyful, responsible product, made with 30% wheat straw — and wrapped in 100% plastic-free packaging.
